Librarian
M.S.I. University of Michigan
B.S. Western Michigan University – Lee Honors College

A Michigan native, Carrie graduated summa cum laude in biological sciences from Western Michigan University’s Lee Honors College. While at WMU, Carrie worked as a teacher’s assistant and as an assistant to two genetics professors, studying group learning styles and conducting lab work on the genetic sequencing of fruit fly bacteria.

Carrie spent four years as a clinical subjects associate, managing clinical data for cancer research studies in the Specialized Program of Research Excellence at the University of Michigan Hospital. She also volunteered, performed her student teaching, and provided library instruction and support to students and faculty at three schools in Ann Arbor. She earned her master’s degree from the University of Michigan in 2007, with a specialization in library and information services.

Carrie brings her library and information services skills to the David H. March Library. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, photography, attending film festivals, and, of course, reading. She lives in Washington, D.C., with her cat, Tucker.
