Shannon is a native of Fredericksburg, Va. She began her career in the fall of 2000 teaching Spanish at The Hill School in Pottstown, Pa. After three years at Hill, Shannon moved back to the D.C. area to teach at Flint Hill School in Oakton, Va. She then went on to complete her master’s degree in Madrid, Spain, through Middlebury College. In 2007, Shannon assumed the position of admissions officer; she also teaches Spanish and is a member of the Anderson Dorm team. The most meaningful aspects of her work at EHS “is the opportunity to get to know the students in so many different capacities: in the classroom, on dorm, on the athletic fields, and through the Chapel program and community service projects. It adds great depth to our relationships with the students and enables faculty members to better provide for students’ needs.”
