After teaching at Episcopal part-time, Janet joined Episcopal as a full-time French teacher in 1995. As a student at Mary Baldwin College, Janet spent her junior year in Paris studying at the Sorbonne and the Institut d’Etudes Européennes. During her summers Janet studied at the Université de Strasbourg and the Université de Clermont-Ferrand in France. Janet also studied Spanish at both Wayne State University and George Mason University. She taught French and Spanish at University Liggett School in Grosse Pointe, Mich., for 16 years and also taught French for nine years at Collegiate School in Richmond, Va.In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Janet directs Episcopal’s summer program in France and serves on the Evans Dorm team. She lives in Burke, Va., with her husband, George, and they have two adult sons, Greg ’99 and David ’00. |
