Jeffrey H. Goodell

Jeff has been director of counseling at Episcopal since 2000, and he has helped to develop a vibrant and responsive counseling program, working closely with faculty, parents, and students. Under his direction EHS has developed a School-wide health and comprehensive drug and alcohol education and prevention curriculum, as well as offering numerous assemblies, programs, and in-services related to health and counseling issues.

Prior to coming to EHS, Jeff worked at the Hun School in Princeton, N.J., for eight years. His various responsibilities during his tenure included serving as the director of counseling, teaching in the academic learning skills program, teaching English as a second language, and serving as head coach of the boys’ basketball team.

In addition to his counseling responsibilities and the various committees he serves on at EHS, Jeff has taught world history, teaches health, assists with the girls’ basketball program, is an administrative duty officer, and has freshman advisees. He lives on campus with his daughter, Jeannie ’09, and son, Charlie.
