Catherine was born in Argentina and raised in Chile, as her father was a career intelligence officer with the CIA and was stationed in various countries throughout Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe. A government major in college, Catherine worked for seven years for the U.S. House of Representatives as a legislative researcher for the Clerk of the House. She then left government to get married, and began her teaching career at Virginia Episcopal School in Lynchburg. Catherine realized that Spanish language and culture was her true passion, and has been teaching for 15 years.In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Catherine is a member of the Harrison Dorm team. She also chaperones the EHS summer program in Spain, and has participated in the mission trip to the Dominican Republic. In her spare time, Catherine enjoys relaxing with her family at their beach cottage near Bethany Beach, Del. She lives on campus with her husband, Peter, their children, Lizzie ’10 and Ned, and their dog, Molly. |
