An avid reader and writer, Perry shares his love of literature and creative writing with students at EHS. A 1965 graduate of Episcopal, he returned to serve as chair of the English Department after teaching at Woodberry Forest School for 13 years. Perry is an advisor to The Chronicle, the student newspaper, and Daemon, the art and literary magazine, and he heads the student assistance team, which helps students in need of special support.Perry graded AP examinations for 12 years. He has read in the Joaquin Miller Cabin Poetry Series in Rock Creek Park in Washington, D.C., and coordinates the annual World Works Young Poets’ competition. His wife, Gail, is assistant chaplain at EHS. They live on campus, where Perry serves on the Berkeley Dorm team and as a student advisor. |
