A classical pianist, Bob spent many years as a college professor and chair of the Music Department at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn., before transitioning into the development side of education. Prior to becoming director of development at EHS, he worked in development at both Rhodes and Transylvania University in Lexington, Ky.

Bob is deeply committed to independent school education and to helping to provide a sound financial future for Episcopal. He continues to be involved with music and served as president of the American Youth Philharmonic Orchestras for several years. He is also a sports enthusiast who has run marathons. Bob and his wife, Beth, live on campus and enjoy traveling together. Their daughters, Elizabeth and Robin, are both musicians.
