Stephen R. Castle
Mathematics, Science
B.S. Washington and Lee University

A graduate of Washington and Lee University with a degree in chemistry, Steve came to Episcopal to teach math, coach, and live on campus as a dorm supervisor. Years of working in summer camps led Steve to choose teaching at a residential school as his profession.

In addition to teaching math and science, Steve coaches varsity football, is the head wrestling coach, and serves as a 9th grade dean. He spends his free time with his family, and he is currently working toward a master’s degree in administration and supervision from the educational leadership school at the University of Virginia. Steve is head of Hummel Dorm and lives on campus with his wife, Susan, their daughters, Sarah Gray and Kate, and their Labrador, Miko.
