Anne earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from the University of Virginia. She also received a master’s of health science degree from Johns Hopkins University. She has a wide range of experience in education, having taught at the primary, secondary, and adult levels. Before coming to Episcopal, Anne taught in the Alexandria city school system and an adult literacy program. She has worked at the Corcoran Gallery of Art and for consulting firms as a freelance writer and editor. While in the Peace Corps, Anne taught English as a second language to high school students in Morocco.In addition to helping students with study and organizational skills, she runs the peer tutoring program and teaches freshman English. Anne is on the Harrison Dorm team and lives in Alexandria with her husband, Justin Ward, and their three children, Mary Cary, Charles, and Katie. |
