Foreign Languages

At Episcopal, teachers view the study of languages as providing a portal to understanding people and cultures from around the world and preparing students to function in a multicultural and increasingly global environment. The study of a foreign language also strengthens the fundamentals of grammar and enhances the student's English vocabulary with root words from other languages. In addition, students gain the ability to read important foreign literary works in the author's own words.
