The Episcopal High School Jazz and Recording Workshop is designed to help develop or improve participants' jazz and recording skills through ensemble playing, master classes, one-on-one help sessions, on site studio recording sessions, as well as instruction in music theory and recording technology. The workshop concludes with small and large ensemble performances. Students will also have the opportunity to experience daily concerts featuring not only workshop faculty, but some of the Washington D.C. metro area's most celebrated instrumentalists and groups. The workshop day concludes with a nightly jam session.
Boarding and extended day students (8 a.m. to 9 p.m.), entering grades seven through twelve. Cost: $1,000 boarding, $850 extended day.
