Hank Harris brings more than 20 years of tennis and world-class coaching experience to his camp. He is the director of tennis programs at Episcopal and has worked with all levels of players, from NCAA champions and pros such as Pam Shriver, to ranked juniors and high school players, to kids just beginning the game. He has coached in more than 20 Grand Slam tournaments, conducted clinics all over the world with great results, and he would like to share his experience with you.
-
Informative and fun. With well-designed drills, individualized instruction, videotape analysis, along with plenty of supervised matchplay, we provide everything your child needs to learn while having a great time!
-
Consistency and control are emphasized as an immediate way to improve your game and match results!
-
Move those feet! Tennis starts from the ground up with good footwork! We will introduce several drills and exercises especially for improving footwork - a sure way to pick up your game!
-
Offense vs. defense. Learn how and when to attack or defend effectively.
-
Playing percentage tennis will be stressed through supervised drills and matchplay, analysis of stroke production, resulting in fewer "dumb" shots on those tough points.
-
Mental toughness is a big part of this sport, and we will provide lectures and videos from experts to develop a winning attitude.
-
Play, Play, Play! Daily matchplay, camp tournaments, and team matches will provide your child with enough experience to feel more comfortable going into that "big match!"
-
Stretching/Exercise. Our professional staff will emphasize the importance of warming up to minimize the possibility of injury.
-
Learn from the best! Top-notch coaches and teachers will "pop in" during the camp and share some tips, drills, and fun with you!
