Tim Hightower '04

When Tim Hightower ’04 was a boy, he would pretend he was playing football in the Super Bowl. It’s a common child’s pastime – narrating your game-winning touchdown or a big run, basking in imagined glory. But Hightower made his dream a reality.

Tim Hightower attended Episcopal High School for his junior and senior years, from 2002 through his graduation in 2004.

After graduating from EHS, Tim attended the University of Richmond and was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. In the summer of 2011, Tim was traded to the Washington Redskins. Tim, #25, is currently a Redskins starting running back.

All of us at Episcopal High School are extremely proud of Tim Hightower, for all that he has accomplished on the athletic fields and for more than that. Tim was a responsible and diligent student, who met success in the classroom because of his self-discipline and work ethic. He was a walking example of the values for which the School stands--family, honesty, humility, concern for others and determination. Most importantly, Tim's compassion and kindness have remained core qualities of his character through high school, college and his professional career. We are proud of the young man he has become and pleased with his ongoing association with Episcopal High School.

Rob Hershey, Headmaster of EHS since 1998

Tim is obviously an outstanding football player. His work ethic and dedication to being the best he can be is second to none. However, what is even more impressive to me is that he is an even better young man. Tim's devotion to his family and friends and his sense of giving back to the community is inspirational and mature beyond his years. Tim is truly a professional whom the young and old can look up to and be proud of.
