Young Writers Workshop
Session 1 - June 15 - 19*
Session 2 - June 22 - 26*

The EHS Young Writers Workshop provides students with an intensive five-day course of instruction in written communication skills and offers multiple opportunities for students to practice public speaking. The course will focus on three major types of writing: creative, persuasive, and analytical, devoting a full day to the specific techniques of each genre. Participants will have an opportunity to present their work to their peers in a poetry reading/storytelling event that will showcase their talent at the conclusion of the program. Students will have some exciting opportunities to work outside of the classroom, including a field writing experience at the Botanical Gardens in Washington, D.C., and there will be guest appearances by successful authors.

*These are duplicate sessions.

Open to boarding or day students entering grades seven through nine.
