Alex Schuyler '09 was awarded a full scholarship to the China Institute's 2008 Summer Study in China Program. The scholarship is funded by the Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
Alex, currently a student in Chinese II, is one of only 25 scholarship recipients selected from a strong national applicant pool. He will spend July 6 through Aug. 24 in Beijing, China. During this program, high school students are immersed in Chinese society and culture. The rigorous language study provides the equivalent of a full academic year of Chinese. |
